A valuable report on the nearly lost world of workers’ education from the fist conference National Conference on Workers Education held in 1921. For those that wish to recover that necessary world, this holds many examples of efforts by union-affiliated and independent organizations and schools from the movement’s heyday. Many of the reporters’ names will be familiar to readers of the Newsstand as long-time left and labor activists.
