Claridad Proletaria was the Revolutionary Workers League’s Spanish-language journal published irregularly from 1936 to 1939. When the Stamm group split in 1938 to form a rival RWL, they also published this version of ‘Claridad Proletaria,’ also until 1938, and edited by Rosalio Negrete. If ever in doubt, the Stamm RWL published under ‘Demos Press’ in Detroit sometimes called the RWL-Revolt, while the Oehler RWL published in Chicago retained ‘Fighting Worker.’ And then there were the later 1940s splits from these two groups, but that is beyond the scope of the Newsstand.
