ראזא לוקסעמבורג רעפארם אדער רעוואלוציע/Social Reform or Revolution a Selection of Writings by Rosa Luxemburg. Biographical Sketches by John Mill and Clara Zetkin. Translated by Benjamin Salutsky. Marx Publication Society, New York. 1921.

A unique collection of Rosa Luxemburg’s writings published in Yiddish by Benjamin Salutsky (J. B. S. Hardman) who in 1921 was a leading member of the dissident Communist Workers Council group. He had been secretary of the Jewish Socialist Federation (JSF) and editor of the Federation’s weekly, Di Naye Welt (The New World). A labor leader in the New York area, he was long an official with the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America. He would later join the CP only to be expelled, then went on to become a leader of the Brookwood Labor College and the Conference for Progressive Labor Action. He left the CPLA when it joined the Communist League of America (Trotskyists) to form the Workers Party of the United States. He eventually left radical politics to become a social democratic labor leader.
