Workers Banner was the organ of the Communist Workers Group, a small Chicago-based split from Hugo Oehler’s Revolutionary Workers League over the nature of the Soviet Union and other issues. Led by J. Hadley, unity discussions with other ex-RWL groups went nowhere, with the ‘Workers Banner’ lasting only until October, 1941 and CWG disbanding in the early 1940s.
