Zionism, Palestine, and the Left: Articles from 1903 to 1939.

The 1929 Revolt.

There is a rich, damning, historical record of the Left’s critique of Zionism and analysis of imperialism in Palestine. One that is essential to understanding today’s Palestine. Below is a chronological collection of over seventy articles posted on the Newsstand. From early discussions over Zionism, through the Balfour Agreement, to the Arab Revolts of 1929 and 1936, the formation of the Palestine Communist Party, and the many debates in the left–all in the context of imperialism, the colonial revolution, European anti-Jewish violence, and the rise of fascism.
