Harrison George was an IWW leader tried for sedition in 1918 who became an early supporter of the Bolsheviks within its ranks. He later became a major figure in the Communist Party and the Red International of Labor Unions and its Pan-Pacific Trade Union Secretariat. In the US, he was editor of the West Coast CP paper, the People’s World.
